The Northwest Florida State College softball team played in two error-filled games Friday at the FCCAA Gulf District Tournament, winning one and losing the other.
Polk State College committed four errors that helped NWF State to a 5-4 win in the tournament opener, but the Raiders then committed four errors in an 8-5 loss to State College of Florida.
Chie Someya hit a pair of two-run homers in the second game for NWF State (36-15), which plays at 11 a.m. today against Tallahassee Community College in the double-elimination tournament. Adrena Anderson and Whitney Fletcher both added two RBIs.
Christina Reeds RBI double in the seventh won it for NWF State in the first game. She went 3-for-4.
Kalie Lang notched the win against Polk with three scoreless innings of relief. Allison Rice took the loss in the second game after pitching 6 1/3 innings and allowing six hits.
