Men's Basketball adds third Tennessee signee
5/5/2010 – Raiders add third Tennessee signee
Northwest Florida State College men's basketball coach Bruce Stewart has announced the signing of DaRonte Clark from Gallatin High School in Gallatin, Tenn.
Clark becomes the Raiders' third signee from Tennessee, joining Emmanuel Andrews from Shelbyville and Terase Clemmons from Mount Juliet.
Clark, a 6-foot-2 guard, recorded big numbers during his senior season by averaging 20.7 points and connecting on 59 3-pointers and shooting 41 percent from behind the 3-point line. He set the school record for free-throw percentage by making 87 percent.
Clark was named co-MVP in Region 9-3A and was also the co-MVP in Sumner County, along with being named to several all-tournament teams.
"DaRonte has very good offensive skills and with his shooting ability, he should really help stretch opposing defenses," Stewart said.
