NWF State's Campbell commits to USF
5/14/2010 – NWF State's Campbell commits to USF
Josette Campbell, a two-time First Team All-Panhandle Conference selection for Northwest Florida State College, has committed to continue her college basketball career at the University of South Florida.
Campbell, 6-0 guard/forward originally from London, England, overcame multiple injuries and ailments to average 12.2 points and six rebounds per game last season as a sophomore. As a freshman, Campbell averaged 14.5 points and seven rebounds per contest.
In committing to South Florida, Campbell fulfilled her longtime goal of playing in the Big East Conference. Last season, South Florida advanced to the postseason for a seventh-consecutive time, moving on to the Women's NIT where it fell to Florida in the first round to end the year 15-16 overall. One year earlier, the Bulls went 27-10, the highest win total in USF history, en route to a WNIT title.
