NWF routs State College of Florida in state tourney

Scottie Peavey was 3 for 3 with a double and drove in three runs to pace Northwest Florida State to a 13-2 run-rule rout of State College of Florida in the state juco baseball tournament on Saturday.
Blake Bearden was 2 for 3 with a double, run scored and an RBI, Matthew Howard and Cody Shelton each had two hits and scored twice and starting pitcher Austin Sullivan was the winner with seven strikeouts and two walks while giving up six hits.
State College of Florida (33-17) was eliminated. The Raiders (29-18) advanced to play the winner of Chipola-Palm Beach today at 3 p.m. CDT.
