Men's Basketball continues to shine, earns #5 national ranking
12/18/08 - It appears as though the only thing that can slow down the Raiders at this point is the Christmas holiday break they are about to enjoy. By defeating Atlanta Metro on the road on December 17 by the final score of 65-43, NWF State College enters the holiday break with a perfect 14-0 record and a #5 national ranking. So with only two games remaining before the conference season arrives, it appears as though head coach Bruce Stewart has his squad in a great position to really make some noise in league competition.
Lady Raiders just keep winning
12/19/08 - The Bart Walker era could not have started any better for the NWF State College women's basketball program. The Lady Raiders enter the holiday break with an unblemished record of 13-0 and a #10 national ranking. Making it even more impressive, this incredible squad has had to battle through a ton of adversity during the season's first two months with several key players suffering minor to major injuries. It seems as though these tough situations have made NWF State tougher and resilient, which are key ingredients to a successful conference run. The Panhandle season begins on January 3rd so the timing appears to be just right for this amazing group.
